Camp History
Whether you are a church youth group looking for a camp experience, a school looking to build unity within your students, or a business looking for a unique place to hold an off site meeting, we have the facilities to meet your needs. Camp Alamisco...it's a special place.
Information on Property and Camp Facilities
The camp covers approximately 50 acres bordered by Lake Martin, which is one of the largest lakes in the Southeast. The camp consists of a lodge which contains the dining room and chapel, 20 private rooms, a 12 room motel unit, gymnasium complex with offices and living quarters, five cabin units which hold about 140 campers, a nature and craft complex, tennis courts, beautiful outdoor chapel, horse corral, nature trails, climbing walls, and a high & low-elements challenge course. The camp operates ski boats, sailboats, canoes, and waverunners.
Camp Programs and Special Features
Emphasis is given to aquatics of all areas and an outstanding program of horsemanship, rock climbing, gymnastics, high rope, super launcher, and BMX; other outdoor recreational sports are available. The camp is located near Montgomery, AL on one of the most beautiful and largest freshwater lakes in North America. Rolling hills and beautiful pines are everywhere.

Directions to Camp
From Atlanta, head south on I-95. Turn right onto Highway 280 west. Go 25 miles on 280, take State Route 34 twelve miles to the Camp Alamisco sign. Follow the "Stillwaters Highway" signs. The camp sign will be on the left, approximately 6 miles after you cross Highway 49.
From Birmingham, take Highway 280 south to Dadeville. Take 49 south to State Route 34. See above directions.
From Montgomery, take the Franklin-Tuskegee exit (Highway 49). Drive 20 milesnorth on Highway 49 until you come to Highway 34 west. Follow above directions.
